History
Wendi Harris was likely born in the early 1940's though her early life is large undocumented. It is known that by the mid 1960's, she is a popular Hollywood starlet, glamorous and attached to chemical magnate Rex Tyler. At a gala to unveil the Masks of Medusa recently discovered on an archeological dig by Kent and Inza Nelson, she joins Tyler and is introduced to the Nelsons. Unbeknownst to the attendees, the masks possess magic powers that manipulate the emotions of those who look to closely. Inspecting them, Wendi does not notice a mysterious figure apply a lighter to one of them and she suddenly is consumed with greed, Snatching all the masks, she makes for the exits while another flick of the lighter causes the crowd to roar with laughter. Once out on the street, she is approached by the same mysterious figure and is sudden driven to extreme pity, resulting in her handing off the masks to the figure. When Tyler and Nelson recover and rush after her, they find her dazed, with no memory of why she acted the way she did. Nelson and Tyler race off to assume their identities as Dr. Fate and Hourman and track the masks, eventually revealing and capturing the second Psycho-Pirate. Afterwards, Hourman reveals to Wendi that he is actually Rex Tyler and the plan a marriage very soon (Showcase #56).
The activities of Wendi Harris Tyler after their marriage are largely unknown. Whether she continued her acting career is unclear but it is know that she gave birth to a son Rick in mid 1960's, shortly after her marriage, Rick was a rebellious son, causing no shortage of trouble to his parents but eventually matures into his own kind of hero, becoming the second Hourman (Infinity Inc #21), Wendi's last known appearance on Earth-Two was during the wedding of Alan Scott and Molly Mayne during which the JSA was swept into the Crisis on Infinite Earths.. Her final fate in this timeline remains unrevealed.

The history of Wendi Tyler up until the Crisis on Infinite Earths is thought to have largely similar to her Earth-Two counterpart. She is left functionally a widow when Hourman along with rest of the Justice Society was taken into Limbo to fend off Ragnarok (Last Days of the Justice Society) but remained tight with Rick, going on extended vacation with him after the disbanding of Infinity Inc (Infinity Inc #51). She was reunited with her husband when he returned from Limbo (Armageddon: Inferno #4) but was widowed again when he died battling Extant (Zero Hour: Crisis in Time #3).
She served as matriarch when the Tyler family "adopted" the time displaced android Matthew Tyler, the third Hourman in this timeline who later revealed that he had plucked Tyler from the moment of his death and placed him in the Time Point (Hourman #8-9). Matthew Tyler later sacrifices himself to take Rex Tyler's place and return him to the land of the living (JSA #65) from which point he retired with Wendi to live in peace and rarely if every resumed his identity as Hourman.
The final fate of Wendi Tyler Harris in this timeline remains unknown.
