Summary Page
This concludes this year survey. The grand conclusion are:
DC should publish ~30-50% more Archives across a diversity of genres to satisfy the demand for high quality collections like this.
DC should fast track the Shazam series or some other FAWCETT material to satisfy that evidently ravenous consumer base.
DC should publish more Doom Patrol Archives as evidence by it's high penetrance in the market, it's high rank on Amazon.com and it's placement in the requested Silver Age Archives list.
DC should experiment with higher priced Archives to satisfy niche markets and start with Red Tornado Archives #1
This is the 5th year anniversary of this Survey and the scope of the responses get more impressive each year. It is my honor and privilege to conduct this survey and I thank DC Comics for continuing this product and their interest in this work. I am especially indebted to everyone who did mock-ups for this year Survey and in particular to Steve Rogers for his tireless work even up to last minute to get these results prepared with me. In 1998, the original Archives Survey was a small Usenet

This is the 5th year anniversary of this Survey and the
scope of the responses get more impressive each year. It is my honor and
privilege to conduct this survey and I thank DC Comics for continuing
this product and their interest in this work. I am especially indebted
to everyone who did mock-ups for this year Survey and in particular to
Steve Rogers for his tireless work even up to last minute to get these
results prepared with me. In 1998, the original Archives Survey was a
small Usenet project with 115 respondents. The choices for voting are
shown at left. As you will notice, all of these are either available
from your retailer or on the docket for publication. I cannot help
but be optimistic that in the not too distant future, most of the
current survey selection will also line my bookshelf.
Again my thanks to all who participated! See you next year! |
