Survey Response to Silver Age Archives

Adam Strange #1 The winner by a knockout, Adam Strange scores the #1 spot with 48% of respondents requesting it's publication. Beginning with his first appearance in Showcase, this Archive will also include his first adventures in Mystery in Space as well! |

Challengers of the Unknown Archives #1 Edging out the Doom Patrol and the Team-Up Archives, the Challs snag second place with 39% of respondents requesting it. This edition will include the first stories in Showcase and the Challs own mag, pencilled by comics great Jack Kirby!

The Doom Patrol Archives #2 With a third place finish, the Doom Patrol becomes the only extension in the Silver Age top 5. This impressive showing, 38% of respondents, is in a dead heat with the #2 position and especially impressive given that only months ago the 1st edition was released! (Yes, it's a crappy mockup. A better one is coming)

The Brave and Bold Archives #1 With 37% of the respondents requesting this Archive, the Brave and the Bold team-up collection is also in a dead heat with Challs and the Doom Patrol, losing those slots by a handful of votes. This edition would collect the early team-up stories of the Brave and the Bold, some of which have never been reprinted!

Teen Titans Archive #1 The last of the top 5, this Teen Titan Archives garners 35% of the vote. This collection would include the original team-ups in Brave and the Bold and Showcase then moving on to their own Silver Age series!

Below you will find the relative distribution of votes. Note that again the top 5 have a clear margin of victory over the remaining editions. Outside the top 5, there is a shoulder of perennial favorites already in publication (plus Blue Beetle) and then a slope down to the less popular editions in the survey. Most of these are recent editions and it is likely that the Survey electorate is would prefer to wait before extending these. |
